SAVEROSOLAR ENERGY
PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

Up to ₹78,000 back, and 300 free units a month.

India's central government rooftop solar scheme pays a direct subsidy into your bank account once your system is installed and commissioned. Here's exactly how it works.

Subsidy by system size

Central subsidy slabs

System sizeRateTotal subsidy
1 kW₹30,000/kW₹30,000
2 kW₹30,000/kW₹60,000
3 kW or more+₹18,000 for 3rd kW₹78,000 (max)

Figures are per current MNRE (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy) scheme guidelines and can be revised. Confirm live figures at pmsuryaghar.gov.in or ask us during your site survey — some states add their own top-up subsidy on the central amount.

Questions

Frequently asked

How much subsidy will I actually receive?+

₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW, then ₹18,000 for the 3rd kW, capped at ₹78,000 for systems of 3 kW or larger. There's no additional central subsidy above 3 kW, though some states add their own top-up.

How long does the subsidy take to arrive?+

Once your system is commissioned and the DISCOM inspection is complete, the subsidy is typically credited to your bank account within a few weeks — timelines vary by state and DISCOM workload.

Do I need to apply myself?+

No. Savero Solar registers your application on the national PM Surya Ghar portal, submits documents, and follows up with your DISCOM through inspection and disbursement.

What if my state offers an additional subsidy?+

Several states add a top-up on the central subsidy. We check what's available in your state during the site survey and factor it into your quotation.
